ericaErica Isom
Erica began her study of Pilates in the early 90’s after a horseback riding injury. She fell in love with the work and quickly realized its importance. Erica moved to Santa Fe to study with PhysicalMind Institute, where she received her certification. In 2001 she was asked by PhysicalMind to become a certifying studio, the only one in Utah at that time. She opened her first commercial space in 2001, and in 2003 relocated to Foothill Village. She has continued her education with some of the world’s best Pilates teachers, including Kim Lee, Siri Dharma Galliano, and Barbara Huttner. Erica also completed an intense Yoga certitcation with Nancy Ruby in 2006. Last spring, Erica was asked to become a master trainer for Balanced Body. She will train teachers all over the world for Balanced Body University, and is excited to be faculty for the best Pilates program on the market. Erica and the studio has appeared in The Hugger Mugger catalog and is thrilled to have been chosen by Balanced Body for there upcoming spread in Pilates Style Magazine. She also sings in her Jazz band, “Straight No Chaser” and The Wasatch Jazz Quintet.

miguelMiguel Rodriguez
Miguel became interested in Yoga at an early age and has been practicing for more than 20 years. Certified through Nancy Ruby's Yoga Motion, Miguel has been teaching for more than 4 years and has done intensive work and training at Yoga Works in Santa Monica, California. Miguel's yoga background includes Vini Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Lyengar Yoga and sometimes a good Vinyasana flow. Miguel's other interests include just about any outdoor activity there is, as well as anything that yoga can help improve.

loriolLoriol Anderson
Loriol grew up in Washington State and came to Utah for her studies. She graduated from BYU in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in Fitness and Wellness Management. Upon graduation she worked for 2 years as an exercise physiologist for a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation clinic. With rehabilitation and injury prevention experience, she continues to work privately as a personal trainer for a wide variety of clients. She has also been teaching power yoga and Pilates classes for the last 3 years, and has been trained by Yogafit and the PhysicalMind Institute. Loriol currently is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine as a Fitness Instructor, and has certified through AAFA as well. She is an avid marathon runner, and stays injury free through practicing both yoga and Pilates regularly.

Erin Leigh Evans
erinErin began practicing Pilates in her youth. She used it then as conditioning for Ballet and other various genres of dance. Today, she uses Pilates to supplement an active lifestyle of running, dancing, weight lifting and general fitness. She is currently studying Exercise Sports Science and Nutrition at the University of Utah. She believes in the power of Pilates to strenghten, improve balance and increase flexability. Erin joined Total Body Pilates in the summer of 2004 and began teaching in early 2006.

susanSusan Javis-Haight
Susan has an extensive background in horse training and instruction. She begain practicing Pilates to supplement her horseback riding career. She immediately noticed an improvement in flexibility, balance, and strength. In order to share these improvements with other people, she has been developing her skills as a Pilates instructor for the past two years. She joined Total Body Pilates & Yoga in 2005 as a student and began teaching in August of 2006.


Jamie Markosian
jamieJamie has been an active athlete from high school, through college and to the present, participating in triathlons, marathons, and both mountain and road cycling. In addition to being a Pilates instructor certified through PhysicalMind, Jamie is also the Assistant Cycling and Strength Conditioning Coach for the local triathlon club, Teamfastlane (www.teamfastlane.com). Jamie first became interested in Pilates when a fellow athlete suggested she look into it to help with the unbalanced body and muscle soreness that had occurred as a result of intense triathlon training. Jamie was amazed at the way Pilates lengthened and strengthened her body. “Pilates is the single best thing I have ever done for my body.” Wanting to help others realize the benefits of  Pilates, both athletically and aesthetically, Jamie became an instructor and now enjoys teaching private, semi-private and group reformer classes.
